The story
Visit Historic Whitesbog Village and stop into the General Store for a special make and take Halloween craft in the Classroom and for trick or treating. Costumes encouraged! No reservations required. Treats are found all around the village and are not candy, just trinkets and toys. Perfect for kids of all ages and abilities, grab a map and stop at historic house porches and look for the treats!

Always interesting whether you walk the trails or drive a vehicle on the sand roads. Some are clearly marked off no traffic. You can see how cranberries are harvested. They have a general store stocked with local books, food trays and snacks. Check out their website they have various events to support the park.

Fun place. Not too many people around so social distancing was very easily done. It's a nice place to go if you like nature, history, the woods and so on. I enjoyed myself and was with great company.

A hidden gem in the Pine Barrens. Best to go on a weekend day if you want to check out the general store. Also, look for information in frequent events, including many nature walks. If you're at all interested in NJ history, agricultural history, or just want a beautiful daytrip to see something new, check out Whitesbog. It's also a wonderful place to celebrate a pioneering woman who gave us the modern blueberry.

An amazing historical landmark. A lot to be learned there and it's inspirational and humbling. Beautiful as well. I love this state. The pine barrens are the heart of it.
