Very cool museum! They have a lot of great exhibits. There are trains you can go in, a trolly and train to ride and other interactive things. We loved learning the history and seeing how things evolved through the decades. It was $16 per adult.

A phenomenal place the spend a good chunk of a day. And incredible collection of trains, cars, and other types of transportation. A lot of the train hardware is accessible to get inside. I strongly recommend the 10am guided tour. It's free and the folks leading it are passionate and knowledgeable. We could have easily stayed much longer, but even the hours that we did were well worth it

Well, I visited on mother's day and was happy to see many families. The Train + Trolley were both operating. I stuck out as "a train nerd 🤓 visiting" (Train T-Shirt) and was shown the MRS-1. The gift shop(s) are decent. The Displays Excellent. Food was good at the Snack bars. There was so much stuff to see My Head was spinning! FYI.... Super helpful for out of towners too

Had never heard of this place until a customer came into the museum that I work at in Illinois. My oldest son, grandson, husband and I had been to see the Big Boy at Union Station. We decided this should also be included. Glad we stopped. We enjoyed this more than Union Station.

What a fantastic museum! A great collection of trains and a few cool cars. Lots of hands on stuff for kids. Very family oriented. Bring a picnic lunch and spend some time here. Miniature train ride and a tunnel. They even had an area for pollinators. Lots of bumblebees and butterflies. Nice to see a museum that cares about them as well. Highly recommend!
