Absolutely beautiful setting and set of buildings - interesting history of mental health in the U.S. and the potential for repurpose. One could say "we don't build the way we used to" and also how can we infinitely move on from places and buildings until we have simply littered all space? Hope OU can make use of all of this lovely spot, interesting (and somewhat disturbing) history and all...beautiful "Athens Block" work... Note Kennedy Art Museum and academic buildings occupy some of the old property, repurposed.

It wasn't the most impressive museum at all, but it was cool to visit. I was more into the history of the visit and that alone made the trip worth it! I'm glad they did away with the labotomies and changed it to arts! Great place for kids aswell. Friendly staff inside the building and beautifully set up inside!

Picturesque set of historic buildings. Stay out of the buildings and restricted areas. Mind the birds, cats, and other critters!

My fiancé and I viewed the small art exhibit they have in the main building of The Ridges, and it was super cool to be inside of the building.
