Incredible haunt. Super long, lots to explore (feels like it never ends!!!), and really creative setups and dedicated scare actors. Anything you can imagine, it’s here. Went to this, the haunted theme park and sea world back to back nights and Balboa park was easily the best. 1.5h wait to enter was awful, especially since we had timed tickets, mine was 9pm and I didn’t enter until nearly 11, but team did a good job of spacing people through the maze. Extremely uneven ground with many very dark areas so be careful!

I’ve been in SD for 15 years and this is the first time I’ve come to the haunted trail and I’m impressed. Great production value, amazing costumes, props, & theme rooms. The actors were committed but not weird about it. And way more trail than I expected. Totally worth the cost and modest 30 min wait time.

Wow, I was impressed! I thought the first haunted house was it, but turned out there were many different haunted houses through the entire trail. Lots of cool costumes and variety. Friendly staff. Parking wasn’t bad.

It sold out online but one can still purchase ticket at the booth. The booth only accepts cash. $35 per person for general entry. $55 for scream pass which can skip lines. We went in at 6:48pm and came out at 7:20pm. Less than one hour. They have multiple rooms that have actors hiding inside. The actors are very hard working. But in general not very scary. I like the monster at the gate that can move.

We had a fantastic time at the Haunted Trail and didn’t experience too long of a wait. We got Friday night 10:30 tickets and waited for 30 minutes in the first line and then about 5 minutes in the second. There were so many good jump scares and wonderful sets (my favorite was the Freddy bus.) Parking isn’t great around Balboa Park so be sure to play accordingly. There’s no outside food or drink allowed but they have concessions while you wait.
