Absolutely incredible stay. It was my birthday and they brought up a desert to the room. The staff in the restaurant at breckfast remembered us from our previous stay and stopped over to say hello and brought us Champaign at breakfast. The architecture is beautiful. Ship’s Tavern’s food was excellent. Just all around a wonderful experience. Thank you to all of the team that made it great!

We brought my mother in law here for tea on her 80th, out of town guests included. I called to talk to staff about what they do for birthdays. I was told various things. When we got there the waitress told me I had gotten bad info. She said they would have the piano player do Happy Birthday and give her cake. That didn’t happen. The hostess dropped off a cupcake with a candle and said Happy Birthday. I was initially told they would sing to her with the piano. It was derby day and they were busy (and we got to listen to a blaring TV). Fine, and the slow service is okay, we weren’t in a rush but the birthday was underwhelming…the hostess indifferent. I called later because I wanted to share our experience. I left multiple messages but no call back. Finally Desi called me back and kudos to her, she understands customer service. She wanted us to come back but the ship had sailed. I wasn’t trying to get something for free. She promised the food manager would call back, they never do. I called the general manager and left a message saying i had called multiple times. No call back. It makes me sad because it was a special event and wasn’t made special. The lack of customer service removes any residual good feeling. The Brown Palace is too big and too successful to care with the exception of Desi. Thanks Desi, I wish you were the manager.

Great place to stay for downtown activities. Lots of hot spots for coffee or dinner within a quick walk. Beautiful architecture. Love the atrium. Parking is an issue (as with any place in DT Denver). The hotel has valet service for a fee, so we paid 35ish bucks to park for a day and half around the corner in the 1670 ramp, which was just fine (about a three minute walk). Seems like people are REALLY into their jazz music at this place? 🤷‍♂️ Not our thing, but I can respect it. Just know that if you need an afternoon/evening nap before you go out for a late Saturday night, bring ear plugs. Because they're really belting it out out there in that beautiful atrium. And the sound carries. Check in was easy, but there are steps up to the annoying spinning door. So you aren't wheeling the luggage cart out to your trunk. Living in a 100 year old house/stone and concrete bunker myself, I'm always curious to see how places like this update the amenities and style. Well, the room was nice. 👍 Pretty standard size. The bathroom was also well done and tasteful. They did an amazing job and decorating. We basically had no control over the thermostat. It was a 100° weekend, so we had it cranked down to 68 (the lowest they allowed). However the temp gauge on the thermostat said it was 75... and we couldn't feel cold air coming out anywhere? So who knows. The ceiling fan helped. Other than that, the remote batteries were dying. We don't watch much TV, so it didn't bother us much. But I always feel like that's something hotels should be on top of. Wifi sucked, but we just use data anyway. There were plenty of outlets to charge things, but only one light switch for the whole main room. They use quality towels, and we had plenty of TP (something we use a LOT of 🤭). We'd totally stay here again. And who knows? Maybe we will when we get back to Denver. 👍

This was a horrible experience. We got a deal on Priceline where they chose a hotel you choose how many stars. It was a 4.5 star hotel. We get here first thing the valet was rude. It cost us $66 to park at the hotel. I needed a phone charger out of my car. They called went through my car!! Then, proceeded to give me the wrong charger. They didn’t bring me my car. Very odd. This hotel is haunted… cool if you like that stuff!! This was not mentioned when Priceline chose this. It is not a 4.5star hotel. There are no amenities. Overpriced haunted and a waste of money!!!

Interesting hotel from a historical standpoint, but poor execution from staff. I was put on the 8th floor which is generally fine—until you get off the elevator and realize there is no sign telling you which direction to go to get to your room number. There are 3 separate hallways to choose from and the room numbers are not linear so you can wander quite a bit. Especially when you are given room 851 which is on the farthest end of the hotel. You would think this is the end of it and the only a minor issue. Then you realize that the valet ticket they gave you has the QR code to scan blanked out and you have to call a valet number from the phone. All good and well until the phone in your room doesn’t work so you can’t have the car staged and ready to go; instead having to go to the first floor to get them to pull it which takes more time. Finally they didn’t even bother to put in a bottle for bodywash/soap nor even a bar of soap. Of course something you don’t bother to check until you’re in the shower and realize it wasn’t there. Front desk offered me points for the inconvenience, which has not been applied and I have not even received credit for my stay in the Bonvoy app yet and it was over 10 days ago. Don’t worry, they made sure to charge in full. Not staying here again and very disappointed in the hotel
