Location location location! It is conveniently located right in the heart of the stockyards. You can walk everywhere easily. The hotel was established in 1907 so it has the historical charm. However, I don’t think that excuses them from updating the rooms especially for the cost. The room (309) is larger than most hotels and the bed was very comfortable. Dusty, stained tub, ripped lamp shades, dirty chairs and stained sheet. Everyone working there is friendly and the valet is an added bonus which I think is reasonable priced at $28 per night. I also liked using an actual key for the door.

For the stockyards the location is wonderful. The room however is a joke nightmare. No fridge no microwave. Tiny 20 year old tv. Can only get cold water if I go to the bar and pay for it. Bathroom tiny. I am, as a woman, significantly taller than the shower head. Towels are also tiny. Update: We left the room for the afternoon and came back to housekeeping having come in and left the door open behind them.

Had another amazing stay. Staff is always great and rooms and general vibe is so authentic to the stockyards and its history. Im super bummed to hear the whole place is going to be modernized and turned into another modern hotel. Will likely stay elsewhere once its remodeled.

Love this iconic hotel. For the price they need at least a deep cleaning every year. But this thing hasn’t been dusted in years. Oh we don’t have dark long hair. No I didnt ask them to clean again. Our second trip. Love this hotel but just can’t again with the dirty ness of this place. Owner should be embarrassed and ashamed to have let this place go down like this.

Gleb was amazing at helping navigate around. He made us feel welcome and took care of us. He welcomed us in and brought our luggage to our room. We stayed in room 307. It was amazing. I love the charm and maturity the hotel is all about. Glen parked our car and assured us all will be good. We had a great experience. When we checked out Paul was a joy to talk to about the charm of the Stockyard Hotel and history!! We will definitely be back. Enjoyed our stay.
