About Springfield Hauntings Tours
explores the darker history and reported hauntings of Abraham Lincoln’s hometown. The walking tour departs from the Vachel Lindsay House and covers roughly a dozen downtown blocks, with frequent stops for stories involving historic homes, Spiritualism, death, politics and local ghost lore. Originally launched in 2006 and later reimagined, the experience runs on weekends during much of the spring, summer and fall.
