I went to the Halfway to Halloween πŸŽƒπŸ‘» show. It was well organized from the parking πŸ…ΏοΈ to the entrance and how the carnival area was set up. There were three attractions: Nightmare in 3D, the Colony and Asylum 47. Nightmare in 3D was interesting. You wear 3D glasses πŸ•ΆοΈ and it can throw off your depth perception as the specially painted walls and actors look distorted. I started to get vertigo when we had to walk through a spinning tunnel. The Colony was a walk through a trail containing animatronics, actors, flashing lights and loud πŸ”Š noises. If you are claustrophobic there is one section that you have to literally squeeze through in the dark πŸŒ‘! You can avoid it unlike Fright Kingdom. Asylum 47 is a regular haunted house 🏠 with animatronics, actors, dark hallways and odd smells. Other than the Nightmare in 3D being the entire haunted house unlike Fright Kingdom having a section of 3D, I did not experience anything new πŸ†•. I did enjoy myself and I was only disappointed when it was over because I was having fun 😊! Nightmare in 3D was only five minutes and I was not even moving quickly. None of the ghouls tried to make me jump probably because I was smiling and saying "Cool 😎" a lot. Women who were screaming 😱 were the targets. I am curious about the Halloween Spooky World with its "Haunted Hayride".

We had a blast. It was so organized. Love how you go through the events then end up where the dj and food and drinks were. We also love the monsters walking all around and interacting with the crowd. So funny see them dancing. We will be back for sure. We are still talking about to this day. Loved it. Loved the 3 guys walking around all bloody. They were my favorite.

Spooky World a New England classic scream park. I want to start off by saying I, remember going to Spooky World in 1994 when I was 13 years old, when October had chilly nights and everyone was bundled up like winter was right around the corner. Spooky World was in Berlin Massachusetts back then on an old farm, and in the early 90s there was nothing like Spooky World anywhere. I met Kane Hodder and toured the movie museum, along with the classic hayride and a haunted house but not just any haunted house, Tom Savinis haunted house. It was amazing and downright terrifying in the 90s. I then visited Spooky World in Foxboro Massachusetts after the move from Berlin and felt the magic was lost do to the location. It had lost that old farm spooky feeling. I did like however that you entered the park and were free to go any haunted house as you pleased. Fast forward to 2025 and this time im going to Litchfield NH for Spooky World. The location is amazing it brings back that old school Spooky World feeling from the 90s and the Berlin Massachusetts days. Mels Funpark is great and with the vip passes although pricy at 87 dollars a piece I felt it was worth it. You get two times through the haunts and unlimited fun at Mels Funpark. This is a place you can go and spend an evening (4 plus hours) with entertainment and for those that drink there's a beer garden and numerous spiked cocktails for your enjoyment. Now onto the haunt reviews: Haunted Hayride: A 20 minute tour covering about a mile of woods with some nicely themed set pieces. Its hard to make a hayride scary so the sets are were it counts and Spooky World nails it as I beleive they perfected and were the first in the business with a haunted hayride attraction in the 90s. Now on to the negative. I felt the tractors moved through the trail way to fast and I wasn't able to take in all of the set in the amount of time allowed. I remember back during the old hayride that the tractor would stop and a small show on certain sets would take place. This needs to happen again. I understand that pacing would be an issue but I'd rather wait the extra time to get this hayride feature back. The colony: My personal favorite, its a 10 minute or so walk through the woods with some nice set pieces and that backwoods feeling. This trail provided two of my favorite animatronics on display at Spooky World and overall the little shacks and winding pathways really had a spooky feeling to it. I have no negatives about this walk at all and like I said this was my personal favorite. Asylum 47: This haunt is one of two set indoors. Its new years and the patients are running the show. Winding hallways lead to the facade of an asylum where you enter and realize that this place is incredibly built for being inside. You go through reception to patient rooms and finally getting a scare from my favorite anamatronic in this haunt upon exiting. Oh and have your best smile on as this haunt takes your picture and for a small fee you can purchase it afterwards while exiting Spooky World. Again no negatives here. Nightmare 3D: This haunt is the last stop and its a fun one, its also the second haunt indoors. Really good 3D paint covers the walls, one of the best clown animatronic scares ive ever seen resides in this haunt and all in all its a fun little walk. Although it is bright inside, the actors made it fun and seemed to be having a good time with this. Once you leave Nightmare 3D you are put into the midway with Zombie paintball, axe throwing, numerous concessions ( try the apple crisp, its amazing). Now a couple questions for the owners: What happened to the horror movie themed haunts? (We need a haunt to bring back freddy, jason, pinhead and all the classics). Where is the old movie museum? Why the decision to go with one continuous que line instead of the pick your own haunt as you feel? I've operated and built haunts in the past and frequent many per season. To finish Spooky World did not disappoint and now will be added to my every year list.

Brought my family and had a great time. The workers were great with their costumes and genuinely looked like they were enjoying themselves. The "haunts" were well put together. The only thing I would maybe change is once you go through a house that is it. My boys wanted to do them again as we all saw slightly different stuff going through them. Bonfire and music was great and family friendly!

Totally blew me away! Such a great spooky atmosphere and so much to offer, plus great food and drink options. The hayride was impressive, the woods were terrifying, and the houses were amazing. We had a blast and will be back!
