One CRAZY Who Dat!

Very cool. Was much better than I expected. Hayride is one of the best. It's about 30 mins long and they put a lot into it. I won't get too detailed, don't wanna spoil the fun. The haunts are very detailed and again, they put much work into them. Very cool props. Loved the gore throughout the event. Lots of alcohol, merchandise and variety of food. Definitely going back again next year.

Just visited for the first time this past weekend for my bachelorette weekend and we all had a blast!! 10000% will be back again! Every member of the staff we met and interacted with especially the scare actors after awhile of hanging out through the night were the nicest people! We had a blast! Thanks guys! 🙂

I visited Shocktoberfest for the first time to celebrate their 35th Anniversary on November 8th, and I purchased the $35 All Access Pass. Honestly, this place exceeded my expectations! I found it even scarier than Field of Screams, and every attraction kept me on my toes. Since it was after Halloween, there were no lines at all, which made the experience even better I got to enjoy everything without the crazy crowds. I had such a great time and would definitely recommend Shocktoberfest to anyone looking for a fun and frightening night out!

The holiday my family and I eagerly anticipate every year is Halloween! Having recently moved from Florida, we were on the hunt for local Halloween attractions, and we hit the jackpot with Shocktoberfest! While I’ve been to Universal Studios and other amusement parks in Florida, this place truly holds its own. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the park tones down the scares for “Spooktoberfest,” a kid-friendly experience with no jump scares, fewer actors, and minimal animatronics. But once 7 p.m. rolls around, it’s like the Purge begins—everything ramps up, and the ghouls and creatures come out to terrorize visitors. There are several attractions, but the main event is the Hayride. My family and I experienced it during “Spooktoberfest,” and even with fewer creatures and effects, it was still an enjoyable, lengthy ride. However, after 7 p.m., the Hayride becomes incredible—the lights, actors, and decor are on par with Universal Studios! We also checked out the Prison of the Dead, and I still can’t decide which one I liked better. Here’s something important to know: after 7 p.m., when “Spooktoberfest” ends and “Shocktoberfest” begins, the actors will touch you, but they won’t hurt you. I had a bearded woman put her arm around me, and during the Hayride, I was touched, and someone in the group got playfully dragged a few inches. At no point did I feel unsafe—everything was professional and fun. Just remember, there’s no safe word—once you enter the park, it’s all part of the game! One last thing: To EVERYONE who had a hand in developing this attraction
.especially the actors and actresses
.BRAVOOOO 👏👏👏👏👏👏 I left that place exhausted and satisfied.

I have mixed feelings on this place because on one hand, i found parts of the haunted hay ride and the prison to be exciting, but i think there’s some glaring issues in almost every aspect of the event. I would say the biggest problem during my visit was the wait times. I stood around for about 55 minutes to get into laser tag (which only lasts exactly 10 minutes) and there was only a small group of people waiting in front of me in the regular line. The woman working this attraction specifically said that there was only a 10 minute wait to get in when I asked, so I waited.. and waited.. and waited. I understand that the RIP tier has priority, but this genuinely felt egregious. A more serious issue is the lack of accessibility in some of the attractions. The prison had multiple pitch black rooms where people were colliding into each other due to no visibility and several sections of strobe lights. With the narrow hallways and steep steps, I can see why someone would have a hard time getting around. Some of the attractions were closed and there wasn’t much to do outside of those. The reason I rate Shocktoberfest higher is due to their birthday discount and some of the actors were genuinely amazing. A few were able to get a good scare out of me and play up the spooky atmosphere. Not to mention, the hay ride was interesting as it had a story and so many different types of horror. I’d recommend coming here at least once, but be realistic about how many of the attractions that you’ll get to between the long waits.
