I showed up unexpectedly at the Salem Chamber of Commerce and I met Amanda Larson as she was about to step out of the office. She was kind enough to reopen the office for our conversation. She was professional and a friendly source of information for me during this quick trip to Salem. Not only did she recommend a perfect place [Gulu-Gulu Cafe] for a sandwich for my ride home, but she also provided me with a contact person for an upcoming Salem event. I belong to and have had leadership roles in both the South Shore and Metro South Chambers of Commerce and I really appreciated Amanda's positive nature, her interest in my comments, and her responses! She did a great job representing the city!

Born and raised here I moved my family to Tennessee 25 years ago. Came back on a vacation with my kids and grandson in mid June 2024. Traffic is worse, but traffic lights and more crosswalks was great. As for parking, thank goodness for the parking garages all over and very well maintained. Good going Salem, loved my visit.

This place is EVIL. The first thing you smell is the odor of Marijuana smelling up the whole town. Secondly, the obvious pick pockets who prey on the tourists that come into this town to honor the fallen folks who were believed to be witches in the late 1600's. Third, the high price of things, and their no return policies. It is price gouging and it is obvious and Insulting. If this is how the town makes it money then shame on them. It is just as bad as when they hurt and killed the innocent victims of the Salem Witch Trials which was wrong.

Love visiting other chambers. Unfortunately we came in on a Sunday and were only able to peek in and snap a photo
