The story
The McPike Mansion, built in 1869, is a historic and haunted Italianate Victorian home in Alton, Illinois. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is known for paranormal occurrences, including sightings of orbs and full-bodied apparitions. The mansion is currently undergoing restoration by owners Sharyn and George Luedke, who offer ticketed tours and events to fund the project.

Everyone working was great. Do I feel I seen anything no BUT still had a good time and will say everyone else did feel or see something so it was just me that did not. That's ok with me I have experience at other sports and at my home so I know it's not every time that I will have or see something.

Such a cool place! We stopped by to admire from a distance and were told by the grandson of the owners we could walk around. You can really feel the history of this place and tell they are doing a lot to restore it to its prime. Hopefully one day they can get it restored enough so we can pay for a tour but until then, respect the property. Check out their website, you can help donate towards the restoration and schedule group tours of the outside.
