A really cool experience. No pictures or videos can be taken inside the house. You really get to be immersed in the house tour. We took a guided tour where one of the maids was being portrayed. Seeing the house brought more to light on a great Worldly author. Recommend stopping in on your visit.

Beautiful. Can't wait to go on a house tour here. The parking is a bit further than the house, but super easy to find with signage. We were able to walk around with admission for just the exhibits, which were wonderful and see the gardens around the carriage house. I will absolutely be back for the house tour and the ghost tour (and will book ahead to reserve my spot).

We're definitely impressed with our tour of Mark Twains house. Gail was out tour guide and she was amazing! We were able to see the whole house and peek into a few rooms that are ropes off for preservation. Great information, definitely worth the money and time. There is a museum and gift shop as well.

Although the price of the house tour was expensive, it was worth it since the tour guide was knowledgeable about the history of the house including its inhabitants and rooms. The tour guide informed more about Mark Twain to the point that he’s not just an author of the literature I had to read back in high school. Beware that photos are not allowed inside the house but they’re allowed outside the house.

We took the General Tour at the Mark Twain House & Museum on Sunday afternoon. Our tour started at 1:30 PM with Beth, who was wonderful and made the experience both engaging and informative. Photos and videos aren’t allowed inside the house, but here are a few moments from the museum exhibits and the beautiful outdoor grounds. It was such a fascinating glimpse into Mark Twain’s life and the place where so many of his stories came to life. My favorite room was the family room — filled with stories, history, and so much character. You could really feel the life and memories that once lived there. Highly recommend if you love history, literature, or simply exploring meaningful landmarks.
