About Lake of the Clouds Hut
At 5,012 feet of elevation, the Lake of the Clouds Hut is the Appalachian Mountain Club’s highest and most visited shelter. It is a rustic, full-service lodge that offers warm meals, fresh water, bunks, and composting toilets. Accessed only by foot, there is no heat or electricity.
