What great water park. It's good for all ages. A little something for all, however mostly focused on elementary and middle school ages. Had fun at the dry park and then hit the water park. Enough rides to pass the day and not get bored. To dry up, Visit the Enchanted Forest. Very unique attraction. Overall and amazing place to spend time w the kiddos and family. Highly recommend for a days worth of entertainment. Admission price is also really good as you get 3 parks for the price of 1. Very well kept and managed. A bit of history; the park ranks in the top 3 oldest amusement parks in the USA. Don't miss out and spend a day or 2 at a historical park.

What a great place to take little kids. Water park and amusement park combined into 1 big area. Bring your towels, strollers and walking shoes. Food is priced high so be ready to add a 2nd to to 3rd mortgage to your home. Overall the park is fun for all ages but geared towards kids under 10. Park is covered in trees so there is great places to duct direct sunlight. Keep your map handy!

Love this place for younger kids. They have a bunch of rides smaller kids can ride on and they have a soak zone. The soak zone is for all ages. There is a lazy river along with water slides and things for small children to do. Most of the walking is level and not a lot of hills to walk on. There are gravel pathways which make it hard to take strollers on. Overall great place to take young kids for a day of fun. There are just a few older kid/adult rides.

I'm actually bummed and sad to be writing this review because I usually only leave positive reviews and if I have a negative experience, I'd rather speak with someone directly to find a solution but this experience was really disappointing and frustrating. We bought tickets online and rented a cabana by the lazy river for a 76° sunny day in the middle of July. Our plan was to relax by the lazy river where we could enjoy a relaxing day in the river and hop out to enjoy the cabana while still seeing our 10yr old in the river. We spent $300+ on tickets, cabana, and food to find that we could only be in the lazy river for two hours total for the whole day because they made a decision 30 minutes after opening to send home a huge group of life guards. We literally arrived to our cabana 30 minutes after park opening to have them chase us out of the lazy river and tell us it wouldn't be open until 2:15pm. For the rest of the day, they shuffled guests around since they only had half the water activities open at a time and I heard staff repeatedly tell guests that they were short staffed for the day when people asked. Y'all weren't short staffed. I watched you close down our favorite activity to send a bunch of employees home. Our cabana was basically useless since we couldn't actually watch our son from it now that it was nowhere near the areas that were actually open. The staff were completely unapologetic about chasing people out of each attraction and shutting things down and what pushed me over the line was hearing multiple lifeguards complaining about guests being at the park. It's a beautiful sunny day, why wouldn't people want to go to a water park? And obviously people are going to be frustrated if they planned out a whole fun day and then are blamed by staff for showing up after paying $300+. The actual parts of the park we were able to experience were fun but it's definitely a bummer when you choose to spend a day of your family vacation at a water park that doesn't let you play in the water. Zero apologies from any staff members and attitude from several staff members when asked when things would open by children. Update: they reached out to my husband about our experience which is appreciated, however we live several states away and will not be returning to the area. I just want other families, especially those with young kids who might have a hard time getting their kids to pivot to a different kind of day on a whim, are aware that undisclosed partial park closures are not only a possibility but perhaps even a likelihood after reading other reviews.

Idlewild is a very nice family park. It is clean (we saw multiple people cleaning rides, railings and blowing off side walks today) and has a variety of rides as well as a large splash pad/ pool area, Storybook forest, Jumping Jungle, a train, and Daniel Tiger’s trolly. Idlewild puts on a number of different themed events throughout the year. Hallowboo is a fun time- our kids love to trick or treat through Storybook forest! Occasionally we pack a picnic lunch. It’s a nice way to take a break midday under one of the multiple pavilions with plenty of picnic tables. It’s a great place to take younger kids and experience a family fun filled day making memories. We love our time at Idlewild!
