I attended a wedding at Hotel Baker this evening and wanted to recognize Michael for the exceptional service he provided. From the moment we arrived, Michael was incredibly accommodating, attentive, and professional. He went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was enjoyable and stress-free. His ability to listen, anticipate needs, and genuinely care about guests truly sets him apart. In a world where great customer service can be hard to find, Michael exemplifies what hospitality should be. He made a lasting impression on our group, and his dedication did not go unnoticed. Employees like Michael are a tremendous asset to your team and deserve recognition for the positive impact they have on guests. Please pass along my sincere appreciation and gratitude. He is outstanding at what he does and represents your hotel exceptionally well.

**Disappointing Stay—Poor View and Unhelpful Management** I booked this hotel expecting at least a downtown view. I was told a river view was unavailable because those rooms were sold out, which I understood. However, I ended up with a view of a rooftop that badly needs repair—not a view of anything. I spoke with the front desk and the manager about the issue, but neither seemed particularly concerned. While I was waiting, another guest was upset because she had booked three rooms and one had been placed on a different floor. Given the room numbers and the apparent mix-up, it seemed possible that reservations had been assigned incorrectly. I asked whether the hotel could offer a late checkout, a complimentary drink, or any other small accommodation, but the manager refused to offer anything. The room also had other problems: the temperature could not be properly controlled, which made it very uncomfortable for me since I sleep hot, and the door did not close flush. Overall, the room, view, and customer service were disappointing. The biggest issue was not just the poor room, but the lack of concern or effort from management to resolve the situation.

Went for a wedding tour based off of the prices given in the voucher we have requested. Beautiful venue but there was a lot of hidden fees. Food and drink came out to around 120-150 per person. Bridal and groomsmen rooms were 350 to rent each room and $55 dollars per person to feed all people using that room. You can’t get food delivered or bring ANY drinks. Also, right at the end, we were told everything was included besides chairs. To rent a chair, it’s $7.50 per PERSON. And then of corse taxes and gratuity wasn’t included, which was 24% (gratuity). Taxes were like another $5k. So we thought the price was going to be around $22,000 ish, but it came out to be $45,000 plus. We were just disappointed in the hidden fees. We drove an hour to see this hotel and were just extremely unhappy after. I don’t want to spend an arm and a leg for all of the extra stuff. I’m already paying $10,000 to rent the room. And it includes everything but chairs? Are you kidding?

We had a wonderful experience with the hotel manager Julie, who kindly took the time to give us a full tour of the property. From the moment my wife n I met her she was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about every detail of the hotel. The tour was thorough and well-organized, giving us a great sense of the amenities, rooms, and overall atmosphere. Julie answered all of our questions with patience and professionalism, and you could really tell she takes pride in her work and in the hotel. Thanks again Julie

We had the absolute best experience at Hotel Baker in St. Charles for our wedding. From start to finish, everything was seamless, beautiful, and incredibly well managed. The staff truly stood out — especially Elizabeth. She went above and beyond all night, frequently checking in on my husband and me to make sure we had everything we needed and, most importantly, that we actually had time to eat. That level of care meant so much to us and allowed us to truly enjoy our night. Our guests are still raving about the stunning Rose Garden and the iconic Rainbow Room floor. The setting is timeless, elegant, and such a special place to celebrate. Hotel Baker delivered a perfect 5/5 experience, and we couldn’t recommend it more highly to any couple looking for an unforgettable wedding venue.
