The story

About Haunted Overload

transforms DeMeritt Hill Farm in, New Hampshire, into an enormous outdoor world of handmade monsters, towering structures, detailed sets and live scares. The attraction is especially known for artistic scenic design that uses the natural woods and farm landscape to surround guests with oversized creatures and Halloween imagery difficult to reproduce inside a conventional building. The Main Event is the full-intensity nighttime version with actors, lighting, sound and effects, while separate lower-intensity programs allow visitors to appreciate the craftsmanship in different ways. Main Event admission is $40 for 2026, and timed tickets are recommended because popular nights can sell out. The combination of rural atmosphere and ambitious handmade scenery has made a destination for Halloween fans throughout New England.

Thus place was incredible - the detail, the craftsmanship, the creativity, and the fear-inducing accuracy. Those that built this place have done such an amazing job. We visited during tbe daytime hours, where you can pay the $14 per person price (which includes free parking!), and do a walk through of the Haunted Overload tour with very little of the scary noises, and with no actors to jumpscare us. We visited with our kids, and a few adults, and it was so much fun and there was so much to see. The whole walk through took us about an hour, as we also took a lot of pictures. There is port-a-potties on site (about 20), and there is a bathroom on the outside of their bakery/farmstand shop on site. Their farmstand store has a bunch of their home made baked goods like apple cider donuts, fresh baked cookies, a lot of unisually flavored cotton candies (coffee, bubblegum, maple, starwberry, etc.), and apple cider. They even had a bounce castle on site, overlooking their farm's pond, that all the kids who visited that day played on. They even had live chickens, goats, and ponies that the kids all interacted with. It was such a fun time, and we would definitely want to come back abd visit again.

I love this haunt, it’s in my top 3 for the eastern seaboard. I finally convinced my family to go. The day time walk through was amazing, no wait just walk through & basque in the magnificent detail. Again, I LOVE this haunt, it has some of the most visually stunning and massive art pieces and buildings. The scare actors are also top notch. Everything about the place is great except thewait to get in for the night haunt, in our case that wait exceeded 2 hours. They have timed ticketing and are sold out for all but a few nights. It definitely felt like tickets were oversold. Way oversold. This is also one of few haunts that does not have VIP or fast passes. If the motivation for overselling is budgetary, I would rather pay more and wait less than stand in line for hours in the cold. I think if VIP were added at a premium they could reach ticket sales goals, faster and keep attendance high but not so high your excitement has run out before you even get in. The line actors are great but there’s only so much they can do for patrons that have been in line for 2+ hours. Again, this is an AMAZING haunt the only downside is the wait ok a busy Saturday night.

This place so so awesome! I have never been to a place this extravagant with the Halloween buildings, decor, everything was so great! We went during the afternoon and checked out everything in the daylight. It took us an hour to walk through it all and it was so worth the $14 a person. They have a store with loads of goodies and apple cider. Many porta potty’s and also restrooms attached to the store. We had such a great afternoon here and plan on attending next year.

Haunted Overload is an absolutely outstanding haunted attraction. The artwork is incredible and the buildings and haunts not just scary…they’re works of art that will leave you mesmerized. There were plenty of jump scares courtesy of their excellent scare actors. Lots of creepiness and scary moments. I highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance as this does sell out. They also offer daytime walk throughs so you can admire the beautiful artwork in the daylight. This is worth the drive and the wait.

If you love all things haunting, scary and Halloween, this is your Disney. I've been here twice. That should say a lot. This second time around, there were more additions added to the walk. Which makes you want to keep coming back and see what props they decided to add through the years. I'm all about attention to detail, down to the eye positionings. My hats off to these artists that reallllly put thought into the overall experience. WOW. I do want to point out, that I've only gone with my kids during the day. We have not got the guts yet, to visit during the night. I'm sure it's not for the faint of heart. Well worth the 2 hour drive. This place is definitely a must do, if you're in New England during the fall. Guaranteed, you'll be recommending it to others too. FYI, we went during the weekend, no lines. No crazy traffic. Easy check in. Very family friendly.
