We spent a beautiful summer night having some tasty drinks and enjoying a great music set list on board the Mariner. This was a great way to see Providence from another vantage point and beat the heat!

We did a boat tour today and Forest was the guide. He had a great balance of history and fun facts. I really enjoyed the tour myself. But the most impressive thing was the fact that 7 teenagers also were attentive and didn’t look at their cellphones for the full hour. Highly recommend this tour. It was a fun way to learn more about Providence and enjoy a cruise down the river.

Was visiting Providence for the weekend to meet up with a high school buddy and we wanted to plan a few fun things. The Providence River Boat tour was great … even in the rain! We learned so much about how this city has changed over the years and, of course, how much of the change was related to the waterways and the Providence River. Our guide was Forest, a RISD prof who came to this city to go to RISD years ago and is still here, and he was knowledgeable and full of humor. Our captain, Kurt, was equally delightful. There were only seven of us on board so it was a nice small group. Highly recommend!

I lived in Providence for over twenty years and have taken various cruises with Providence River Boat Company always learning something new about my city each time. All of the captains are professional and make the boat ride fun and interesting. I can’t say enough good things about this tour company. Excellent girls excursion with appetizers and wine too!

We booked a private charter for our staff party and couldn't have been happier. It rained during our tour but Captain Tom was awesome and parked us under a bridge so we could eat our lunch without the food getting soaked. He also had a great playlist that kept the party moving and our spirits up. It stopped raining before the tour was over and there was a great rainbow over the city. A magical way to end things. We all had so much fun. Highly recommend.
