The story
About Glenwood Cemetery
Glenwood Cemetery is a historic burial ground in Yazoo City dating back to at least 1856. It is well-known for the legend of the 'Witch of Yazoo,' who is said to have burned the city in 1904, and as the final resting place of author Willie Morris. The grounds feature a mass grave for Civil War soldiers and other historic markers. Tours are available by appointment.
