The location is perfect! Parking is easy. Rooms were clean. Shower water is hot and good water pressure. I took a star away from the rooms because there is no refrigerator. That means we cannot bring home any food from the restaurants. Service was okay. Not bad, but not spectacular either. Would come back. Price wasn't bad.

My friend Chris Schulte and I stayed at the hotel Gettysburg April 30 to May 7 of this year. Room 318. It was an amazing almost magical experience how nice, friendly, helpful and kind everyone we met at the hotel were. Chris and Steve took care of some room maintenance items for us. They went out of their way to get things fixed and to answer our questions about the town. Same for Ali and Chayna. We went to Starbucks almost every day. Tony and his staff were always happy and cheerful about serving everyone. We went to the restaurant a couple times and the staff there was the best, also. I got to tell the GM, Andrea, that I don’t know how they created such an unbelievably caring staff and culture for their hotel, but I sure hope you keep it up and I hope I can come back sometime! Each one of you deserves a pat on the back! It’s hard to find a place where each and every person you meet is so caring, helpful and kind! Thank you, thank you, thank you!😀🩷

This hotel is absolutely wonderful, it is located right in the middle of downtown Gettysburg. Right across the street from where Lincoln wrote the Gettysburg adress. The building itself is historic, the room was very comfortable, we had some issues with our AC. But they were quick to fix it. And the toilet didn't flush very well. They dont normally have microwaves in the room but you can request one. There was not a fridge either in the room. They apparently have a pool but we did not use it. The beds were very firm but I personally enjoyed that. They do not have free breakfast but do have a restaurant and bar. The restaurant tasted good but had extremely small menu. Overall this was a great experience and would stay again!

1st, I did not stay at the hotel, the locationis great. However I attended a wedding reception at the Gettysburg Hotel and was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food that was served. Unfortunately, what should have been a memorable celebration was overshadowed by one of the worst banquet meals I have experienced. I ordered the ribeye steak, and it was unacceptable. The steak was covered with an excessive amount of fat cap, very thin slice of meat had ZERO seasoning, and lacked any flavor. It was so poorly prepared that I couldn't eat it. My daughter ordered the gnocchi, which was equally disappointing. It was dry, tasted like frozen packaged gnocchi rather than fresh homemade pasta, and had no flavor. We both left our entrees untouched because they were simply inedible. I guess they were from the Lincoln days. Even the dinner rolls were disappointing. They were hard, stale, and tasted like they had been left over from a previous day rather than being freshly baked. No one at our table ate the rolls. For a venue known for hosting weddings and special events, I expected a meal that reflected the importance of the occasion. Instead, the food left a lasting negative impression on what should have been a beautiful celebration. The poor quality of the appetizers and dinner, combined with the lack of attention to freshness and preparation, made this a very unsatisfactory dining experience. I cannot recommend the Gettysburg Hotel for catered events based on the quality of the food we received. It was a significant disappointment and had a negative impact on an otherwise wonderful wedding.

I recently came with a group of friends and stayed here on my recommendation. The location is perfect with paid parking garage in back of the hotel. The only thing I miss is the rooftop pool, which I used on previous visits. Great staff. The complimentary coffee in the restaurant was appreciated.
