I'm from the Cleveland area and this place is so close only about 2.5 hrs. away. What a wonderful retreat. The whole time I was there I kept saying to my daughter I wish I would have known about this place when she was a kid. It looks like an awesome place for the whole family. So much to do. I'm telling my family we have to have our reunion here. The adults and the kids will love it. Highly recommend it! It was also a wonderful girls getaway for my daughter and myself.

This is a beautiful resort. Everyone is friendly and it is very clean. The beds are smaller than I expected but otherwise comfortable. There is something to do for every age and very family friendly. I highly recommend to anyone visiting Wheeling to stay at Oglebay Resort. You can park your car upon arrival and use the trolley or walk to almost anywhere in the park. Lots of restaurant options and amenities to enjoy!

Our family visited Oglebay Park Resort in late June/early July 2026 and had a wonderful vacation. There were plenty of activities for the whole family and everything was easily accessible. We purchased the summer experience package with a king junior suite and felt that it was a good value. The package allowed us the freedom to try many different activities. Our kids especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the pools. This was our first visit to Oglebay, but hopefully it won't be our last!

Stayed on 7/ 22/26. Paid $264 for a room where every piece of wallpaper was pealing off the wall, a big gap in the crown molding and the upholstered bench at the end of the bed was stained. Had to drive a distance to all amenities so found it easier to just drive into town for entertainment and dining.

This resort is nice. Our cabin was somewhat clean. More parking would have been nice but you make do with the space you have I get that. Golfing was nice, everyone on all courses was respectful. The hotel steakhouse and restaurants were fantastic places to eat. Breakfast was amazing. I do not recommend swimming at the pool. The older lady who was in charge was rude and belittling. We walked in the front door to see if that’s how we got down to the pool on the backside of the building. She instantly nagged at us. When we got to the pool she stood on the balcony watching us as if we were an issue. For over 45 minutes. Found her actions unacceptable and rude. The group of almost 20 I was with spent over $600 each that weekend. I expect much more respect from employees at a fine establishment like this. Especially when spending that much for a 2 day trip.
