Franklin Castle is one of the most unusual historic houses in Cleveland. The architecture immediately gets your attention, with its stone exterior, towers, windows, and elaborate details giving the building a dramatic appearance. Even seeing the exterior gives you an appreciation for how distinctive this house is compared with the surrounding neighborhood. The stories and legends associated with Franklin Castle make it even more intriguing, although the architecture alone makes it worth seeing. It’s an interesting stop while exploring the historic homes around Ohio City and Franklin Boulevard. Please remember that it is private property, so admire and photograph it respectfully from public areas.

Super fun tour, whether or not you believe in ghosts. The outstanding guide gives you the lore, then gives you the extensively researched truth. The house has some fun features like a hidden doorway and a discrete way for the master to get to the mistresses bedroom. The guide shares his own experiences, too, as he lived in the house when he was a national park service ranger in the region. You'll be glad you visited the Franklin Castle.

Did the Historical haunted tour. It was something interesting to do, but not something I would recommend. Definitely is more historical than haunted. However, if you’re going to lean into that vibe, make it even more historical. have renderings or drawings of what the rooms actually looked like, their blueprints. It would’ve been incredibly interesting to see the servants quarters set up as a replica of what they lived with in the basement, to seen what the kitchen look like. If you’re going to go historical go full hog into it. It felt like more talking at you than with you, if that makes sense. The guide debunked most of the murder murders that happened in the house, for the actual fact which is totally fine, it’s a historical tour! However, it still could’ve been more engaging. The guide pointed out craftsmanship on the outside of the house for us to look at, but was unable to see because of all the foliage. Some of the trees might need to be cut back to make that easier to look at. We also we’re not allowed to take pictures which we thought was kind of odd and a little annoying. My mother and I are really into historical things so we wanted to take photos of the craftsmanship, the flooring, the woodwork, etc., and we weren’t able to. Overall, it was OK, but not something I would really recommend to people

Great place to stay if you want to stay some place with history and that is potentially haunted. Im glad we booked a night here. Michael was super friendly and very willing to help with anything (food suggestions etc) enjoyed our stay!

I love this place and the people who do the tours and events are great! Highly recommend the tours and overnight stay. Just walking around the neighborhood is great. Such amazing and unique houses and very friendly people.
