We went to the winter city lights hosted at field of screams this year (followed link provided to leave review) and it was an amazing experience for my family (2 kids-12 & 10). They LOVED the snow tubing and were able to ride as much as the want. The tubing staff were so fun and helpful. It was a bit pricey and with how many people were there we had to cut the trail short to experience more. So if you are going I would recommend an earlier ticket time. We went at 6:30 and stayed until they shut down around 9:15. The “bonfire area” was really just those outdoor heaters you see at restaurants to keep the outdoor dining open. I wish it was a true bonfire experience and we could’ve bought smores kits from concessions. The free face painting was a lovely touch. A lot of places for photo ops. Merch and glow toys for sale at the concessions tables. And the food was good! the only thing we didn’t do was the axe throwing which I’m glad we didn’t pay extra for since we ran out of time and the kids seemed to want to do the tubing for longer anyways.

We visited here on Friday the 13th, which was a great activity for that particular day. The haunted house had quite a few surprises, the choices for food were more extensive than we expected. We enjoyed sitting by the bonfire in between our other activities such as axe throwing and ring toss, and then continued on to the Haunted Trail. The trail itself was very well done, had a number of twists and turns, an extended a little under a mile through the woods. There were lots of flashing lights, all of the persons working the trail were very good at scaring others, and when there was an issue, one of the staff members insured that everyone involved was okay. I would not recommend the trail if somebody is not physically active, because they may find it difficult to ascend the woodsy Hills, and the stairs involved. I would recommend comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty, especially if it has rained recently.

I had a fantastic time at Field of Screams Maryland! From the start, the atmosphere was immersive, with plenty of bonfires around the grounds, offering a warm spot to sit and soak in the spooky vibe between haunts. The check-in staff was super friendly, and I noticed they interacted warmly with everyone, which made for a welcoming start. As for the actors roaming around the grounds, they did an awesome job! They stayed in character the entire time, and while a few jump scares were up close, any accidental touches felt like part of the thrill rather than anything inappropriate—it’s all about how you approach those tight corners! The 1.5-mile trail was packed with actors hidden in all the right spots, even compensating for the shacks that were closed, which kept the suspense high and the surprises coming. The snacks were delicious, though I do wish the marshmallow bags had just a few more marshmallows! On the other hand, the carnival games didn’t quite match the excitement of the rest of the event; they were pretty pricey and not as engaging as I’d hoped. If they added some unique twists to make the games more fun, it’d be a big plus. The ticket prices are on the higher side, but considering the huge staff and the scale of the production, it’s understandable. Overall, I’d say it was a solid experience with just a few small areas for improvement. I loved every minute and had a great time getting into the Halloween spirit! Though, hey—would’ve been even better if it was free!

Winter City Lights 2023 was amazing. My family and I went. It was beautiful and serene. We had an amazing time, hot chocolate, funnel cakes, apple cider and it was nice. My toddler and I made to a good half of a mile and that was it. However shout out to the cop or security guy that insisted that we make the attempt and the young lady that helped us make our great escape from the trail. It was beautiful. Thank you for the memories.

💫This was an outstanding experience! The best part are the actors! They really knocked it out of the park! It was super exciting to see they offered Vegan options such as the beyond burger 🍔 😋 😍. I hope they add more next year❤️‍🔥 The bonfire was cozy and the haunted house was a scream.😱 The vibe is very welcoming and we met some cool people to latch onto to have a skip in the woods. What could go wrong? 😄 After the trail 👣 of darkness and screams. We were able to get our pictures 📸 from the first rattle. They came out exceptional!✨️ 🩷What really touched my heart as well is the kindness of the staff and cops. Officer Walker and Balincio were so nice and helpful when we had an issue arise. That was the best!🩷 ✨️We felt safe, happy and thrilled! This is a place of pure fun! I am not one for getting scared but with all the sweet treats of the event and people.... I might risk another heart scare next year!✨️ 🎃Thank you all for an amazing night!👻
