We had a lovely one night stay here in the Jeremy room. No paranormal experiences to report! While the room was small, we had no issue navigating it. We really enjoyed everything about the inn. Breakfast was a great way to start the day - the woman serving was so sweet. We also did 2 different tours, the tortured soul tour and the house tour. Both of our guides, Kayla and Joe, were obviously extremely passionate and excited to tell people about the history of Gettysburg and the Farnsworth House. They have both been working for the family for a great many of years, which speaks volumes. We could not have been happier with our entire stay and experience at the Farnsworth House.

My husband and I stayed here from July 7th-9th. Even with a slight hiccup with our room upon arrival Tammy was amazing and already had a plan in place. We stayed our first night in the Sweney Room with some creaking floors in the middle of the night sounding like someone was walking in. Our second night stayed McFarland Room a simple quiet evening in a beautiful room. We ate at the Sweney Tavern where the food and atmosphere was charming. Breakfast in the morning downstairs was like waking up at home and coming downstairs to fresh hot food with great history being shared. I am so very grateful for this trip. Great location, history enriched and amazing staff all the way around. Absolutely no complaints and a must return.

This review is only about the restaurant as we did not utilize the Inn portion. DEFINITELY make sure you make a reservation or you might not be seated. We made one for 5pm (when they open) and was seated promptly in the front room. The decor is awesome, had period music playing in the background and the servers were all in costume which made the experience that much better. Now the food....they gave every table a 3 bean salad that was very good. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer, that too was very good. One entree was the chicken pot pie with green beans almondine (good dish), another was the pork chop with apple bacon bourbon with green beans almondine and sweet potato mash (good dish) and I had the game pie with baked potato and coleslaw slaw (delicious!). There were also two Mojitos ordered that were made perfectly and the overall price was so phenomenal, it did catch me by surprise.

Have a couple of menu items in mind before ordering. Seems that they run a little short on som entries as well as desserts. The sever Natalie was new and trying her best. She was very kind and quick. My turkey sandwich was very dry so i politely asked for a cup of mayo. The pic shows what they gave her to bring to me. She went out of way and grabbed me a couple of mayo packets. Good job on her end. Thank you Natalie.

We ate at the fine dining restaurant. The prime rib was excellent. I would go back for the pumpkin fritters alone. They service and ambiance were great.
