Welcome to Erebus, the towering beast of Pontiac — a four-story obstacle course of fear, pain, and pure adrenaline that devours you whole and spits you out somewhere between laughter and panic. This isn’t just a haunted house; it’s a full-scale sensory assault — a twisted, thrilling labyrinth where every corner wants to test your limits and every floor drags you deeper into chaos. From the moment you step through the doors, the energy hits like a freight train. The sound, the lighting, the theatrics — everything is designed to manipulate your nerves. The walls breathe, the floors shift beneath you, and before long you’re not just walking through a haunt — you’re surviving one. Erebus is built to disorient, to challenge, and to completely overwhelm the senses. One minute you’re crawling through claustrophobic tunnels, the next you’re being swallowed whole by darkness or trapped in rooms that seem to close in around you. It’s physical, psychological, and utterly unforgettable. This place thrives on scale and creativity. Every room feels like its own twisted world — elaborate sets, booming effects, and precision timing that would make Hollywood jealous. The scares come from every direction, and half the fun is not knowing how they’ll get you next — one moment it’s an actor screaming inches from your face, the next it’s a towering animatronic lunging out of the shadows. You’re never safe, not for a second — Erebus hits you from above, below, and all sides with perfectly timed terror that keeps your heart racing and your guard shattered. You’ll scream, you’ll laugh, you’ll stumble, and by the end you’ll be gasping for air — not just from fear, but from how insanely fun it all is. Now, let’s talk about the lines — because yes, Erebus draws massive crowds, and for good reason. You don’t build a reputation as one of the world’s greatest haunted attractions without attracting legions of thrill-seekers. But here’s the thing: the wait is absolutely worth it. Every minute in line builds anticipation for the chaos that’s about to unfold. That said, if you want to skip the endless wait and dive straight into the darkness, do yourself a favor and pay for Instant Access. Trust me — it’s the best investment in fear you’ll ever make. Also, a huge thank-you to Zachary and his staff for his incredible hospitality and professionalism — he made sure I had the best time possible. His passion and attention to detail mirror everything that makes Erebus exceptional. From the front gate to the final scream, this crew knows exactly how to deliver an experience that’s equal parts terrifying and exhilarating. Erebus isn’t just a haunted attraction — it’s a rite of passage. It’s four stories of heart-pounding, nerve-shredding, joyfully twisted entertainment that will leave you buzzing long after you escape its grip. The darkness here isn’t something you run from — it’s something you embrace. So go. GO VISIT EREBUS! Step into the belly of the beast, surrender to the fear, and see if you can make it out alive. You’ll scream, you’ll sweat, you’ll laugh — and you’ll love every terrifying second of it. This is one haunt that doesn’t just raise the bar — it picks it up and hits you with it! P.S. Absolutely go visit Erebus’s “Nightmare After Christmas,” because it is an absolute blast! They really capture that quirky holiday spirit and blend it with just the right amount of spooky fun. It’s the perfect way to keep those seasonal vibes going with a hint of eerie excitement. I also want to give a special thank-you to Denise and Dolores for their warmth, genuine smiles, and kindness. It’s people like them that make visiting haunted attractions that much more fun and memorable. Definitely a must-visit if you love a little haunt flavor mixed into your holidays!

Here’s to Ed Terebus! And his brother Jim… who is now the man keeping the myth alive. With a passion for haunting that is unparalleled. This multi-story converted parking ramp is the only reason I ever set foot in Michigan. My first chance to see the place was on an amazing tour of haunts provided by Midwest Haunters Convention, and it was an honor to spend a bit of time with Ed, the co-creator of Erebus, before his untimely demise. The Haunt is as close to a Disney level spectacle as you will find in the Midwest, and when I think of it, I have to restrain myself from running to my fan shop to continue building. The complex runs as a massive turntable of sorts, physically rotating guests into the experiment as they ascend the levels towards the main event. Riddled with unique effects, such as the asphyxia vaults, where you are smothered with play balls, to the giant space encroaching spiked spindles of death to the attacking monkey grabbers and the launching corpses… just go there. Get in the van. And get there. Now if possible…. Go on. Rated: 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃

We had a lot of fun here. Came on opening night. It was cool that you got to get some group pictures taken before entering. Enjoyed that there were actors outside as well. Only complaint is that it was so hot inside.

This is a really good haunted house. The ghouls don't touch you however they still make it very startling when they jump out or talk in your ear when you're not expecting it. The scenes and experiences were fantastic and Unforgettable.
