About Emily's Bridge
The Gold Brook Covered Bridge in Stowe, Vermont, is popularly known as Emily's Bridge and is associated with local legends of a jilted lover named Emily who haunts the site. While often cited as a haunted location, historical research suggests the ghost story originated in the late 1960s or early 1970s and is not supported by evidence of an actual death at the bridge.
