The story

About Dungeon of Doom Haunted House

Dungeon of Doom in is one of northern Illinois' longest-running professional haunted attractions, tracing its history to 1997. The modern show is a nearly hour-long horror experience made up of numerous themed environments rather than one short maze. Guests move through attractions such as Sanctuary, Terra Nova, Dead Clown Alley, Vine of Terror, Slaughterhouse, Mercy General Hospital and other large-scale scenes, with Warehouse 30 joining the lineup for 2026. Live actors, detailed sets, practical scares, lighting, sound and special effects drive the experience, while optional experiences such as Buried Alive add another layer for guests looking for something more intense. The attraction has moved locations during its history but now operates from its established home in, drawing haunt fans from both Chicagoland and southern Wisconsin.

Definitely a great production, actors were on point and very interactive. Sets were immersive, not just through the visuals, but sound, lighting and smell. And at the end, a nice selection of merchandise, an option to purchase a photo from the photo opp in the beginning before you head into the haunt as well as food. If you are attending later in the month of October, I recommend getting there as early as possible to avoid a long wait in line if you do not want to do a VIP option ( skip the line ). Remember there are over a 1,000+ people that all had the same idea that all showed up too . So if you wanna save yourself a 2+ hour wait I highly recommend those two options .

I’ve been to 6 haunted houses this year and this is by far the best experience. Very welcoming and even though I came solo still felt right at home. The clown section in particular is definitely memorable and able to scare even veterans of the haunt. Truly great time

Fun haunted house it’s pretty long and interactive you won’t even notice the whole time you spend in the attraction. I do recommend buying tickets, if you don’t want to wait in line I highly suggest to by Fast Pass since general admission gets really packed.

Had so much fun! Was my furst time there and it was great! Waited almost 4 hrs to get in but the actors do a great job of keeping you scared in line. Seemed a little short staffed too maybe but it was great and id go again

This place is horrifyingly amazing! We have made it a part of an annual tradition with a group of friends because it is so damn wonderful. I won’t ruin the surprise but it is the most immersive haunted experience I have ever had. In addition, they have campfire barrels, food, axe throwing and just good and fun vibes . The owner circulates around to make sure all goes well and you can tell people love working there. I highly recommend.
