About Dawson Cemetery
Dawson Cemetery is a historic 9-acre cemetery in Colfax County, New Mexico, established in 1913. It is the site of burials from two major coal mining disasters in 1913 and 1923 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The site features roughly 600 marked graves, many identified by white iron crosses.
