It was DEFINITELY dark here. Half the time it was dark in the haunt but that was what made it fun! The atmosphere built up to the entrance was amazing, I was for real questioning if i should back out or not. Thankfully I didn't. To summarize the haunt its similar to one in Georgia- Netherworlds. Just less animatronics of course.. from what I can remember from this haunt it was about 5-ish animatronics in the total haunt. Usually it was one big one mixed in with actors. OMGG the scare actors. They were great! The lady banging on the loud drums as you run under her the man growling in your ear. they were the pinnacle of the haunt- as well as the staff too. Inside it feels a little long depending on how fast or slow your group moves, but it generally takes people 30-45 minuets to get through the haunted house. FOR THE GIRLS (or people who get too scared to continue the haunted house): I remembered that this high-school girl was crying while waiting to continue through the next section of the house and one of the scare actors walked her out nicely, making she knew that they weren't gonna scare her We BARELY had a wait in the line since we went around 5 - 7. The merch here is also really nice and reasonably priced for the quality you get.

This was the grand opening of their cryptid museum! They had free cake and champagne. They offered hotdogs, nachos, and sodas for sale (idk if this will be every time the museum is open, but.it would be nice). Really liked the sasquatch and mothman actors on stilts. You can take pics with them. They had a megalodon jaw where you could take professional photos at. The gift shop offered books, bags, purses, shirts, and other occult/cryptid-centric items for sale. There is a choice for tours, you can do a self-guided tour or spring for the guided tour. Either one is good. My husband and I chose the self guided tour. He took several photos. They have a Wendigo, Grey Aliens, Rougarou, Night Crawlers, and various other cryptids in life size models. It's really a great place to go, and I highly suggest a visit.

A Must-See Haunt: Dark Hour Delivers Immersion, Atmosphere, and Unforgettable Horror! My girlfriend and I had the incredible opportunity to visit Dark Hour Haunted House during the Texas Haunter’s Convention Tour, and this experience exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we stepped through the doors, it was clear—Dark Hour is in a league of its own. The show was deeply immersive, and the level of detail in the set design was absolutely mind-blowing. Every inch of the walkthrough was crafted with purpose and precision, transporting us into a world that felt theatrical, eerie, and totally alive. The pacing of the show was flawless, and each scene flowed naturally into the next, keeping us on edge and fully engaged from start to finish. The actors were phenomenal—each performer delivered committed, high-energy scares and interactions that truly brought the environment to life. Whether it was the subtle tension of a slow approach or a perfectly timed startle, every moment felt intentional and professional. And let’s just say it—Dark Hour also has the cleanest bathrooms we’ve ever seen at a haunted attraction. It might seem like a small detail, but it speaks volumes about the care and professionalism that goes into every part of the guest experience. We also want to extend a huge thank-you to Allen and Shannon for being such gracious and welcoming hosts. Despite how busy the evening was, they took a few moments to chat and let us into their world. That small gesture meant so much to us. Their passion, generosity, and dedication to their craft shone through in every detail of the experience. Whether you’re a lifelong haunt enthusiast or just dipping your toes into the world of immersive horror, Dark Hour is a must-see destination. It’s the perfect combination of artistry, adrenaline, and community—and we’re already looking forward to coming back for more.

We’ve been coming to dark hour for a few years now, and have also visited their cryptid museum. Every visit has been a 10/10, but last night we brought our kids to chicken night. It far exceeded my expectations. It was so fun to walk through the haunt at our own pace and admire all the handmade props. It truly is art. It was the perfect amount of spooky for my young kids and they absolutely loved it. On top of that the staff was so friendly- like leave an impression on you forever type of friendly. I didn’t get the name of the girl inside the haunt, but she showed my kids a bunch of the hidden scare spots which was so fun. Annika, at the cryptid museum, got down on their level to talk to them and listened to everything they had to say (which was a lot) with so much patience and interest. We will be making chicken night an annual visit for us. Thank you guys, for creating such an amazing experience that keeps us coming back time and time again.

Dark Hour is always amazing. Gift shop staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The sets are quality builds with great detail and obvious care. We went for the cryptid museum and lights on walk through in June, and our tour guide was a wealth of trivia and pointed out easter eggs we would have otherwise missed. 10/10, we'll be back.
