About Butler Turpin State Historic House
General Butler State Resort Park preserves the Butler-Turpin Historic home built in 1859. The house is a brick federal-style residence with eight large rooms and two wide halls, with a third-floor attic and spacious basement area. The home has many period pieces as well as family heirlooms. Attached to the house is the outdoor kitchen.
