Break Escape Room and the restaurant Chick N Fizz share a common space. I don’t think this highlighted in many people’s reviews. And at first this confused me. The escape room is on one side and the restaurant is on the other. There is no partition between the two. I discovered Break Escape Room through GroupOn. I did the Double Trouble room in which your group is trying to prevent a nuclear meltdown. The escape room was fun. The production value is somewhere in the middle. The puzzles were very creative. There were only two padlocks that needed to be opened. The room is non-linear, so multiple puzzles can be solved at the same time. Although, I would think a group of 4 probably is ideal, since the room is not that big. You get 3 clues if you get stuck. The restaurant is fun to hang out in before or after the escape room. They have a lot of fried foods (chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, etc) that could be used as a snack. They also have a wide selection of specialty sodas. Some just have to be tried to be believed. I got the funky monkey which uses Mountain Dew as its base and adds banana flavoring, chocolate, and cream. You would not think this combination would work, but it sort of does. So come for the escape room and stay for the restaurant. But I will also mention that the parking situation can get a little interesting. There is not a lot of parking at the strip mall and different store fronts claim certain spaces. Downtown Arlington Heights is walking distance if you wanted to park in downtown and walk here.
