The story
This October, slink on over as the Butterfly House becomes the BOOterfly House! Come face to face with fantastic insect friends and learn how animals, like scorpions and tarantulas, are not so creepy after all. Check out carnivorous plants in our Tropical Conservatory, and spy on spectacular butterflies like the awesome Owl Butterfly.

My wife and I had a great time walking through and seeing everything. It wasn't limited to just butterflies but the plants were beautiful as well. On top of that there were also large creepy insects and really cool tarantulas to look at. It was our first time visiting so the front desk staff explained everything to us which was informative and helpful. Nice place and wonderful employees throughout the exhibit. We loved it!

This place is really lovely! Very nice to visit. Calming. Absolutely worth a visit! It was busy when we went on a Saturday but still there was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy it and to find a seat inside when needed. The botanicals are beautiful. However. I wish staff had kept up more frequently with picking up the dead butterflies as there were quite a few dead ones at the exterior windows, and up in the rafters, and that daffected the vibe.

This has always been on my family's list to stop by when we visit Saint Louis area. This year was our first time visiting during the summer and was impressed by the lush outside section. My little ones enjoy the bug displays and of course enjoy walking or sitting in the butterfly house, casually finding as many species as they can.

We would go on field trips there when I was a middle school teacher. Had a blast would recommend. We would go with out 6th and kindergarten classes to do buddy trips. The kids loved the butterflies and it was a lovely experience. Highly recommended for children. It was very humid the days we wentso make sure to hydrate. The butterfly house is very warm.

Brought my 3-year-old niece and sister to visit this butterfly house for the first time. I don't believe I've ever seen so many beautiful butterflies in a butterfly house before. The staff was extremely friendly. Lots of wonderful activities for kids of all ages, including a massive park that we took advantage of before hitting the road to finish our trip. Enjoyed this side quest and look forward to bringing my teenage daughter!!!!
