Fantastic historic hotel. Location, decor, personnel and rooms were all great. Did I mention dog friendly? We take our large Labrador everywhere. He was welcomed by everyone. Bonus because the rooms are carpeted. The speakeasy was very nice. I didn't take any photos of the interior but it was very nice. The rooms were well designed. Great beds, too One final note: No hotel we have stayed at it in the last 17 years sent us a thank you note. Blennerhassett did! Highly recommend anyone staying near Parkersburg or Marietta consider the Blennerhassett Hotel.

The Blennerhassett Hotel said, “You wanted a memorable stay? Say less.” 😂 As someone who loves unique travel experiences, beautiful historic properties, and a good story… this hotel checked the boxes. Elegant charm, rich history, gorgeous details, welcoming staff… and apparently… possible roommates in Room 332. Listen… I’m not saying the ghosts checked me in personally… but I’m also not NOT saying Room 332 gave me moments that had me looking around like “now wait a minute…” 👀 All jokes aside, the experience was unforgettable. The Blennerhassett has that rare combination of luxury, history, personality, and mystery that makes travel fun. If you’re headed to Parkersburg, West Virginia and love historic hotels, haunted lore, or experiences with a little extra spice… this hotel belongs on your list.

The check in experience was fast and easy with the pre arrival check in. The Blennerhassett Suite was an excellent experience. The room is spacious and has a whirlpool tub with a separate shower. There are a selection of amenities that you can add to your room to make your stay memorable. The outside dining is serene, and the food was delicious. Walking through the hotel is like stepping into history and it is a short walk to the river.

Loved this hotel - you can feel the history. It has so much more flavor than your average hotel. I stayed here to start my bike ride to Clarksburg on the North Bend Rail Trail. The hotel bar was great with very sociable bartenders.

Our stay was so amazing, I can't find the words to even describe how wonderful everything was. Our room was beautiful and comfortable, the staff was helpful and super kind and you can tell every detail of the place was thoughtfully planned out. We also ate dinner and brunch in the hotel restaurant and we were blown away by the service and delicious food. We were sad to leave and are already planning a return trip.
