We had an amazing time with Captain Blackwater! Learned a lot of history and heard some amazing stories. His passion for Beaufort and its history are shown in each tale. Definitely recommend this for anyone visiting the area!! Kid friendly & wheelchair accessible! Wish I could give him more than 5 stars. This was the highlight of our trip and my kid is currently reading a history book!

Don't be fooled by the other tour from US ghost tours. It is not this tour Beaufort ghost tours is the original and owned by locals. Port city tours..Your tour guide knows the area and is a local outdoor theater performer. These guides have lived in Beaufort for years.You will not be disappointed with this tour, but you will be disappointed. If you choose the other one...

If you’re ever in Beaufort NC, you should definitely do the ghost walk. Our tour guide was Captain Barefoot and he was absolutely fantastic. Super entertaining, super knowledgeable. It was a great experience. Highly recommend!

Awesome ghost tour! Friendly staff. Very informative and historically accurate. We left a battery operated light up fan on the child's grave. Maybe her ghost can use it to say hello from time to time 👻

It was a fun way to see Beaufort, but not super spooky. History buffs would probably have a better time than kids, but our tour was also exclusively adults - so it’s possible the tour guide adjusts for the crowd. I would recommend researching downtown Beaufort’s calendar and making sure you don’t book a night that “Rock the Dock” or other similar events are going on. The spookiness was hampered by the dad rock floating down the streets & every teenager in Beaufort driving past on a golf cart while yelling like a pirate 😂
