Bacon’s castle is *kind of* off the beaten path. But the drive out is SO worth it. We weren’t able to go to the sister locations, but it was the neatest and most personable tour of our whole time in Williamsburg. Driving the ferry over was a delight. Our tour guide was excellent, and did a fabulous job sharing the history of Bacon’s castle. You NEED to include this in your Williamsburg trip. We tacked it on after visiting Jamestown settlement/ historic Jamestown. Biggest tip-wait and buy the tickets in person, Incase there are delays with the ferry. 🤪
