I didn’t know how to rate... When I was there I felt sad...that soo many people weren't there to pay respects but to do weird things, take readings, or put strange things on the graves. I say just leave them alone or visit them out of respect like anyone else in a cemetery. How would you like someone to treat your's or your families Graves. You just don't do that.

It's not as creepy and interesting as it was - now maintained and landscaped, grass cut weekly, no more wildflowers or vines. Some very rude tour companies have tours on many weekends and act like they own the place. Park across in Rubio Woods. The path to the cemetery is West of the big cell towers.

Love this place and the trails around it. Love the people we find chasing ghosts and living it up. Always a good time.I

My best friend used to live in Midlothian, and since we were going to a concert in Tinley Park we decided to swing by their old stomping grounds in Midlothian, and once we looked into it and found that this was the Midlothian that Bachelors Grove is in, we knew we HAD to go. While drawn in by the lore surrounding its haunting, I myself have always been an aspiring photographer at heart. It was raining when we went, which really set the scene. We made sure to announce our presence upon entering and let the dead know that we meant no harm and that we were just here to hang out with them and pay our respects (I also mentioned I would be taking photographs). The entire time I was there I felt nothing but peace. It was calm, I could hear the birds chirping and the sound of the rain falling. We played some of the Howl’s Moving Castle soundtrack for them, and we got the feeling that they liked it. The rain had let up by the time we left, and the sun began creeping through the trees. I didn’t experience anything paranormal, other than the surreal feel of peace and comfort. I even left behind a handmade (by myself) D20 die for them. I rolled it on the gravestone famously known for being the one the Madonna was sat on— (I of course asked permission first). It was only a 5, but I hope they’ll experience many nat 20s of their own. I honestly felt more comfortable in the cemetery itself rather than the path leading to it. I definitely recommend stopping by and paying your respects. 💜

Great small and peaceful Cemetary! It’s a little spooky but being there in the sun and the quietness of the forest really brings out a great atmosphere. It’s pretty old and well worth to check out!
