The story

About Alice Flagg Grave at All Saints Cemetery

The cemetery at All Saints Episcopal Church is widely known in local folklore as the site of the grave of Alice Flagg, a young woman who died in 1849. While many visitors visit the site and the stone marked 'Alice' looking for her spirit, historians note there is no evidence that the Alice Flagg of the legend is buried beneath that marker, which is believed to commemorate another family member of the same name. The church has a sign to discourage ghost hunting on the premises.
